The English Department endeavors to instill students with a genuine appreciation for literature while teaching the skills necessary to be effeective writers and communicators in the 21st century world. Students are required to take four years of core English classes and are offered the opportunity to take Public Speaking, Yearbook Production, Jourmalism, Newspaper Production, Creative Writing, Media Issues and Film as Literature.
Students within the English Deparment write and produce The Coronet (newspaper), The Crown & Sceptre (yearbook), and WORD. (online and print Literary Magazine). |
